Senate Passes Veterans Affairs Reform Bill

We finally have a real American president who is trying his best amid tremendous opposition from the anti-American left, to help our cause Veterans and the rest of America.

The Senate overwhelmingly passed legislation aimed at increasing veterans’ access to health care and holding accountable bad actors in the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The legislation passed 93-3 and represents rare cooperation between the House and Senate, raising hopes that Congress is moving swiftly toward a VA reform compromise to send to the president’s desk.

Senator Marco Rubio said this of the historic legislation:

“This is a change in the laws of our country that will bring accountability to one of the most important functions that our government provides to the men and women who serve us in uniform,” Rubio said. “This spring marks three years since the light was shed on the veterans who died — died — while they were stuck on secret waiting lists at the Department of Veterans Affairs.”

Tammy Baldwin said the vote showed “that we can work across party lines to move VA reforms forward and make them a reality.

Together, we can build a VA that protects whistleblowers, many of whom are veterans working to improve the system.

We also need to make sure we are empowering the VA to hold bad actors accountable because our veterans deserve nothing less than high-quality service and care.”
