Trump Is Fed Up With Libs Bashing Christmas, So He Decided To Do THIS
Now that the holidays are approaching, Christmas is, once again, under assault by the left wing media and the class of the politically correct.
America News reports that, in a recent interview, Trump said “I go out of my way to use the word ‘Christmas’ … There’s an assault on anything having to do with Christianity. They don’t want to use the word ‘Christmas’ anymore at Department stores. There’s always lawsuits, and unfortunately, a lot of those lawsuits are won by the other side.”
Trump is a self-professed Christian and he believes, like many Americans, that CHRISTmas is about the birth of Christ.
And yet, you have companies like Starbucks who have eliminated any religious symbolism from their cups and whole cities who have refused to display scenes of the nativity.
Stores like Target and Walmart refuse to use the word Christmas and instead attempt to use the politically correct phrase, “happy holidays.” In this country, we should be able to speak about Christ without the threat of litigation.
Christians are the victims of a massive politically correct push to take Christ out of Christmas, even though he is the reason for the holiday.
The left would have Christians silent about their faith outside of a church. They want our churches and our homes to be the only places it is acceptable to even utter the word Christmas.
Of course, Christmas is not the only holiday that is under attack. Both Easter and Halloween have religious histories, but they are also minimized into a politically correct, mainstream package. As a society, we walk on eggshells just to avoid offending anyone.
This country was founded as a Christian nation and the Declaration of Independence is based on the idea that we have rights that come from our Creator. Drawing from scripture as inspiration, our Christian Founding Fathers used the concept of the trinity in forming our three-part government.
Despite what liberals may believe, we are one nation under God. We were founded because the Church of England was being oppressive and our Founding Fathers wanted to worship freely. The basis of the First Amendment only means the Church will not be part of the government, not that Jesus can never be mentioned.
Luckily, we now have a President who will stand up for Christians and the true meaning of Christmas.
