Tommy Hilfiger Responds To The Designer Who Wants To Boycott Melania Trump! He Destroyed Her For Good!
Tommy Hilfiger expressed his opinion about French designer Sophie Theallet’s declaration that she would never work with Melania Trump, and it was one that might leave her feeling embarrassed.
The 65-year-old American designer said “any designer should be proud” to dress Trump, Women’s Wear Daily reported.
“I think Melania is a very beautiful woman and I think any designer should be proud to dress her,”
Hilfiger said.
Speaking at the Angel Ball at Cipriani Wall Street in New York on Monday, he added, “I don’t think people should become political about it.”
His statements came after Theallet spoke out against President-elect Donald Trump in an open letter in which she said she wouldn’t work with his wife and urged others to act similarly.
Bellow you can view the official letter of Sophie Theallet!
During Trump’s election campaign, Melania was seen wearing designs by Ralph Lauren, Fendi and Gucci. There’s no doubt that she will find designers who will be happy to offer designs for her to wear.
As for Theallet, she was never asked to dress Melania, and her snobbish, sanctimonious attitude might get her more backlash than support.
Angela’s, a designer boutique in Rye, New York, was reportedly angry about Theallet’s letter, and owner Angela Guitard said she would not carry Theallet’s collection in her store. Newsmax reported that in an email to Theallet, Guitard said she was inflicting her political opinions on others and using social media for promotion, calling it disrespectful and unprofessional.
She’s got a good point.
The U.K. Telegraph pointed out that regardless of who the first lady is, she has provided a “platform that can bring great exposure for an American designer” and could make his or her career take off.
Hilfiger nailed it when he said it would be an honor to outfit Melania Trump. Apparently the left is still too angry about the election to understand what an opportunity it would be to do so.

Maybe she only designs for contestants on Rupaul’s Drag Race!!!!!
Tommy, you correct on this. We should not get political on the Mrs. Trump’ wardrobe issue. The French bitch should do as ordered keep your pie hole shut. As for Theallet, are you looking for your name in print or actually saying something. Your out dated, out of style rags needs to be shipped off to the few, the aged, the sarcastics like; Peloci, Feinstein, Warren, Frau Hillary, Ginsberg and the like. Maybe you can come out with a Demo-Socialist head dress for the National Snow Flakes Society.
Bye Bye Theallet…no more buy buy !
Bravo Hilfiger! The pettiness we see spewed today against Melania is tiresome and completely worthless & petty. Those who engage in it, reduce only themselves, in the opinions of thousands around the country.
