Trump Effect: Colorado DA Hit With Justice After Trying to Drop Charges Against Trans Sex Offender Who Targeted 11-Year-Old Boy

The backlash is building fast—and it’s the kind of accountability Trump-era America demanded.

After the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Colorado announced plans to drop charges against a registered sex offender accused of attempting to kidnap an 11-year-old boy from a schoolyard, locals had one response: Not on our watch.

The accused, 33-year-old Solomon Galligan, has a long rap sheet, including a sex offense conviction in 2011, and was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. He was reportedly taking hormone pills and identified as transgender, posting on Facebook in 2011 about starting hormone shots. He’s now been declared “mentally incompetent” to stand trial—leading the DA to move to dismiss the case entirely.

But in a turn that’s sparking nationwide outrage, the DA’s office insists that under Colorado law, they’re “legally obligated” to drop the charges if Galligan can’t be tried.

Aurora City Councilwoman Danielle Jurinsky isn’t having it.

She told the New York Post that a recall effort targeting Democrat DA Amy Padden is now in motion:

“The conduct of the 18th DA over the past six months is beyond deplorable. This is simply the icing on the cake,” Jurinsky said. “The progressive attitude will not be tolerated.”

Jurinsky says she’s heard from hundreds of concerned citizens who are fed up with soft-on-crime leadership that lets predators off the hook under the banner of “compassion.”

Some legal observers are now speculating that DA Amy Padden could face charges of misconduct or obstruction herself, depending on what internal communications and decisions are uncovered during the recall effort and any potential investigations. If she knowingly circumvented procedures or suppressed public safety risks, she could be held criminally liable.

Trump supporters have pointed to this exact kind of left-wing legal leniency as the reason why real justice is needed at every level, from the White House to local DAs.

This is Trump’s America fighting back—and the grassroots are bringing the hammer down on those who would let predators roam free under the guise of “treatment.”

If this person is not competent to stand trial for a heinous act he should be institutionalized for life.
there is no excuse for releasing him on society AGAIN.
