Snoop Dogg Just Gave Kaepernick Some Brutal Advice…
Rapper Snoop Dogg offered San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick some solid advice that might actually be worth considering.
During the Fox Sports show “Undisputed” on Wednesday, the rapper said the football star should consider choosing between playing football and being a “revolutionary.”
Snoop Dogg just put Colin Kaepernick in his dog house, calling the San Francisco 49ers quarterback a hypocrite for protesting social injustice while praising late Cuban dictator Fidel Castro and advising he choose between football and his ongoing National Anthem protest.
“He’s sort of kind of hypocritical in so many words because he’s pushing this, but at the same time he’s giving credit for this and this is the same abuse that [Cubans] been taking,” the rapper said
Snoop Dogg added, “So it makes you hypocritical to be able to speak on this topic and that topic.”
The “Lay Low” singer was referring to Kaepernick’s recent comments about Castro at a media event ahead of the 49ers game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
The musician also said he understood where Kaepernick was coming from, but he didn’t believe the quarterback could play football with all of its rules and regulations and be a revolutionary at the same time.
“I do appreciate the fact that he brought something to America’s attention that needed to be brought to their attention as far as knowing that there is a serious problem that we’re dealing with outside of these sports and these activities that we do, that we have a great time, that we celebrate,” Snoop said.
Snoop Dogg added that Kaepernick needed to have just one focus in order to be effective
He’s got to be back to what he’s doing, and if this is what he wants to do, he needs to leave football out of it and just do it full-time,” he said.
