President Trump was elected by the laws of our countries. Now, he is trying to make the best of bad situations brought about by years of neglect and hatred.
According to a transcript of the call obtained by The Intercept, on April 29th President Trump spoke with Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte over the phone and addressed a possible strike on North Korea using nearby submarines.
During the phone call, Trump and Duterte discussed the growing threat from North Korea’s nuclear missile program and the country’s enigmatic leader, Kim Jong Un.
President Duterte told Trump: “He is playing with his bombs, his toys and from the looks of it, his mind is not working well and he might just go crazy one moment. We can’t let a madman with nuclear weapons let on the loose like that. We have a lot of firepowers, more than he has times 20, but we don’t want to use it. You will be in good shape.”
“We have a lot of firepower over there. We have two submarines — the best in the world — we have two nuclear submarines — not that we want to use them at all,” President Trump replied. “I’ve never seen anything like they are, but we don’t have to use this, but he could be crazy so we will see what happens.”
Both presidents also discussed using China to pressure North Korea to abandon its missile testing program, in what the White House called “a very friendly conversation, in which Duarte mentions an Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit, saying that other leaders are “really nervous about the situation in the Korean peninsula.”
During the call, Trump echoed his publicly stated position that he wants China to take the lead in addressing potential threats from North Korea. “I hope China solves the problem. They really have the means because a great degree of their stuff come [sic] through China,” Trump said. “But if China doesn’t do it, we will do it.”
It is nice to have a man of action in the Oval Office for a change. Trump is doing all he can to make a buck for America! Failure is not an option for Trump.
