Donald Trump Just Made Jaw-Dropping David Petraeus Announcement, It Changes Everything
The biggest story that all Americans on both sides of the political spectrum have been following lately is what choices Donald Trump will make for his cabinet.
Many notable people have been floated as possibilities for his administration, although some of them have met with great controversy, such as former Presidential candidate Mitt Romney. However, Trump has been plans up his sleeve.
According to reports, Trump is now distancing himself from the idea of appointing Romney as his Secretary of State, and is giving serious thought to naming retired Army General David Petraeus instead.
Petraeus is clearly very interested in the position. Stated David in a recent radio interview, “If you’re asked, you’ve got to serve — put aside any reservations based on campaign rhetoric … and figure out what’s best for the country.”
He added, “I’ve been in a position before where a president has turned to me in the Oval Office in a difficult moment, without any pleasantries, and said ‘I’m asking you as your president and commander in chief to take command of the international security force in Afghanistan.’ The only response can be: ‘Yes, Mr. President.’” Do you think General Petraeus would make a good Secretary of State?
