VIDEO: CNN Piles on Scott Jennings with 4 Democrats—It Backfires Spectacularly

If CNN thought stacking a panel with four Democrats against conservative commentator Scott Jennings would intimidate him, they clearly underestimated their guest.

In a viral moment from Wednesday’s broadcast, Jennings went head-to-head with a lineup of liberal voices—and not only held his own, but left them visibly rattled. The discussion quickly spiraled into a fiery debate after a New York Times reporter accused Republicans of being the “party of taking things away,” referencing changes to welfare and healthcare programs.

Jennings didn’t flinch.
“My rebuttal to that would be Democrats have become the party of EXPLODING government benefit programs… and then saying, ‘Gee whiz, now people are trying to take things away,’” he fired back.

And that was just the beginning.

When Axios reporter Alex Thompson smugly noted that the GOP’s “Big Beautiful Bill” wouldn’t take effect until after the midterms, hoping to score points on timing, Jennings pounced.

“There’s nothing politically devastating about trying to bar 1.4 million illegal aliens from getting welfare,” Jennings shot back. “Republicans ought to lean into these things: work requirements are good. Encouraging work instead of welfare is a good thing—and it will work in campaigns.”

He didn’t stop there. Jennings also called out Senator Thom Tillis, a fellow Republican, who had criticized the bill. “I think he’s wrong,” Jennings said flatly. “And virtually every Republican thinks he’s wrong.”

The panel grew visibly uncomfortable as Jennings dismantled their talking points one by one—without raising his voice, without theatrics, and with nothing but cold, hard facts.

Score one for Jennings. CNN thought they had him outnumbered. Turns out, they were outgunned.
