Trump Returns To His Campaign Promise To End Common Core!
We all agree that common core is the downfall of our education system. Common core was nothing more than government indoctrination by the democrats to dumb down American youth so they would become dependent on the government for everything. That’s why like an apple, we must take out the core and throw it away only keep the good part.
That is what President Donald Trump is doing! He returned to his campaign promise to end the highly unpopular Common Core standards at his CEO Business Town Hall on Tuesday.
At the White House President Trump said: “Common Core, I mean, we have to bring education more local. We can’t be managing education from Washington.”
The president continued: “When I go out to Iowa, when I go out to the different states and I talk, they want to run their school programs locally and they’ll do a much better job… And I like the fact of getting rid of Common Core. You know, Common Core, to me, we have to end it. We have to bring education local, to me. I’ve always said it, I’ve been saying it during the campaign, and we’re doing it.”
On the campaign trail last year, Trump often denounced Common Core and promised a return to local control of education.
Emmett McGroarty, a senior fellow at American Principles Project, released the following statement:
“More than any other President — or even presidential candidate — ever, Donald Trump has empathized with our citizens, particularly parents, who have seen firsthand the damage done by federal efforts to shape and dictate education policy.“Today’s comments show that President Trump has not forgotten his promise to end Common Core and return to local control of education. He is taking seriously the assurance he made in his Inaugural Address, ‘Today… we are transferring power from Washington, D.C. and giving it back to you, the American people.’
“Every Swamp creature will unite to fight against the President on this, so his leadership will be critical. We look forward to seeing what steps the Trump Administration will take in the coming months to take power away from Washington D.C. and return it to parents.”
Trump also said his education secretary Betsy DeVos is “doing a terrific job.”
“Highly respected, tremendous track record, but she’s got one of the toughest jobs of any of our secretaries, to me, she’s got one of the toughest jobs,” the president added.
He also said that Ivanka Trump — his elder daughter and now White House counselor — and other administration officials are “totally in love” with education issues, and his final words on this subject at this event: “I think we are going to have a great four years.
We have to revamp the way the entire public school system operates. Government control has created this nightmare of bureaucracy. Parents have allowed the system to raise their children, giving it way too much trust.
We must give the states and parents control of the education again! Having the federal government run is wrong and opens up the possibility of one or a few abusing it for the wrong reasons.

Common core is nothing but a bunch of communists scum bags trying to brain wash children in to being slaves to the government.
