It always should have been “Humanitarian Aid” for Americans first since it’s American taxpayers footing the bill. Our previous administrations have been feeding the enemy to kill us, they never asked “we the people”, past presidents getting kudos while we citizens were getting cooties!
Speaking at the annual In Defence of Christians summit on Wednesday, Vice President Mike Pence told Christian leaders from the Middle East that President Donald Trump has directed the U.S. State Department to stop relying on the United Nations to provide humanitarian aid to persecuted religious minorities in the region.
At the beginning of his speech, the Vice President said: “Under the leadership of President Donald Trump, I can assure you: The United States of America will always stand with those who suffer for their faith, and we will always support them in the hour of their need.”
Well, finally our Christian brothers will get our help! Sadly they have been ignored.
“Yet the United Nations has too often failed to help the most vulnerable communities, especially religious minorities,” Pence said. “The result has been that countless people continue to suffer and struggle needlessly.”
“And while faith-based groups with proven track records and deep roots in these communities are more than willing to assist, the United Nations too often denies their funding requests,” Pence said.
Pence said President Donald Trump has directed the State Department to send aid directly through USAID and faith-based partners.
“We will no longer rely on the United Nations alone to assist persecuted Christians and minorities in the wake of genocide and the atrocities of terrorist groups,” Pence told the crowd gathered in Washington, DC, for the annual summit of In Defense of Christians (IDC).
“The United States will work hand in hand from this day forward with faith-based groups and private organizations to help those who are persecuted for their faith. This is the moment, now is the time, and America will support these people in their hour of need.”
“This is the moment,” Pence said. “Now is the time. And America will support these people in their hour of need.”
Excellent! We should not be sending any of our tax money to the UN so that they can decide what to do with it. Let the taxpayers decide where our money should go. This is a wonderful and common sense change! Getting the assistance to the people that need it rather than the UN. BRAVO Mike Pence! Stop funding the corrupt agencies and despotic leaders of war-torn nations!
