Karoline Leavitt Delivers a Brutal Message That Politico and the Liberal Media Will Hate! (Video)

Recent reports have revealed that Politico, a prominent media outlet, received funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). This financial connection has raised concerns about potential biases in Politico’s reporting, especially regarding its coverage of USAID-related news.

On Tuesday, it was reported that Politico staff did not receive their latest paychecks on time. The company attributed this to a technical error and assured employees that the issue was being addressed. However, some conservative commentators have speculated that the delayed payments may be linked to the cessation of USAID funding.

In response to these revelations, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that the administration would be canceling over $8 million in taxpayer dollars previously allocated to subsidize subscriptions to Politico. Leavitt stated, “The more than 8 million taxpayer dollars that have gone to essentially subsidizing subscriptions to Politico… will no longer be happening. The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team is working on canceling those payments now.”

This move is part of a broader initiative led by Elon Musk’s DOGE to scrutinize and reduce government spending, particularly in areas where federal funds have been directed to media organizations. Musk has been vocal about his intent to eliminate what he perceives as wasteful expenditures, including funding to media outlets like Politico.

The revelation of USAID’s financial support to media organizations has sparked a debate about the appropriateness of such funding and its potential impact on journalistic integrity. Critics argue that government funding of media outlets could lead to biased reporting, while others contend that such support is necessary to sustain quality journalism.

As the DOGE team continues its efforts to cut government spending, it remains to be seen how these actions will affect media organizations that have previously relied on federal funds. The situation underscores the ongoing tension between the need for fiscal responsibility and the desire to support a free and independent press.
