How Novak Djokovic Responded To The Death Of The Reporter Who Attacked Him Over His Vaccination Status Will Put Every Classless Journalist Out There To Shame

The sports journalism community is in mourning following the sudden death of Mike Dickson, a respected writer for the Daily Mail.

Dickson, who was in Melbourne to cover the Australian Open, tragically collapsed and died shortly before his 60th birthday.

Mike Dickson had a storied career spanning nearly four decades, during which he became a mainstay in press boxes around the globe. His journey with the Daily Mail began in 1990 when he first took on the role of cricket correspondent, eventually transitioning to become a prominent voice in the world of tennis.

The sad news of his passing was conveyed through a heartfelt social media post by his wife, Lucy, on behalf of their children, Sam, Ruby, and Joe. The family’s statement read:

“We are devastated to announce that our wonderful husband and Dad, Mike, has collapsed and died while in Melbourne for the Aus Open. For 38 years he lived his dream covering sport all over the world. He was a truly great man and we will miss him terribly. Lucy, Sam, Ruby and Joe.”

Djokovic, the world’s current number-one ranked tennis player, was barred from the 2022 Australian Open over his refusal to get vaccinated. It led to his detention and eventual deportation. He was heckled at matches over the matter. His 2023 season was something of a comeback year, not that he suffered any significant injuries, but because the world has returned to a resemblance of sanity post-pandemic. Djokovic has also played at an elite level. But one person known throughout the tennis world won’t be able to write more about Djokovic: Mike Dickson, the reporter who attacked him over his vaccination status, even going so far as to suggest his legacy could be impacted.

Djokovic decided to respond to Dickson’s dead and put to shame every journalist in the world that attacked him!

Just like you might not like Trump’s personality, but should judge his results, Djokovic should also be judged on his results. In this case, Novak showed that in addition to being probably the GOAT, he also can be pretty classy if he wants.

I agree. Read an article yesterday claiming cancer would be out of control in 2024. Everyone is scratching their heads as to why? There are some theories the cancer out break is do to global warming, or it might be President Trumps fault.

Not so much karma, as many were not evil in getting it, just stupid, weak, ignorant, etc. so it’d be more ..actions have consequences. You don’t get to click your slippers 3 times and say there’s no place like home and the magic smurf makes it all good again.
