Whoopi Goldberg and her liberal talk show The View is losing rating with every new show so maybe it’s time for them to stop the act and quit! They know most of Americans hate them and will never watch them again! So they use every opportunity to bash conservatives in hope to raise their ratings.
On the 16th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States, Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade asked Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is he worried about the future of the 9/11 Memorial because of the removing of memorials that negatively affect some snowflake’s politically correct sentimentalities.
Kilmeade asked: “Do you worry 100 years from now that someone’s going to try and take that memorial down like they’re trying to remake our memorials today?”
The next day on The View, co-host Whoopi Goldberg had a few choice words for Kilmeade.
“Victims, 9/11. Perpetrators, Confederacy. You understand the difference?” Goldberg said, referring to the Fox News host. “When you see something that is put together to intimidate… and that is celebrating a group of people who decided that they wanted to fight for their right to own slaves. I think it’s kind of––you can’t––it’s beyond apples and oranges. Get a book, read a book, crack a book, read something.”
But, on his radio show, The Brian Kilmeade Show, Kilmeade said he couldn’t “wait to clarify something that they skewed.”
Mentioning the fact that New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is convening a commission to analyze every statue in the city “to see if they’re worthy of staying up” in addition to movements in various cities to remove statues of Thomas Jefferson, Christopher Columbus, Andrew Jackson, and even George Washington, Kilmeade showed colleague Shannon Bream Goldberg’s comments on The View.
“They are now putting a definer on the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC. They are now defiling the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. They are chopping off heads of Columbus who I don’t think fought in the Civil War but I gotta crack a book according to Whoopi Goldberg,” Kilmeade said.
Bream acknowledged the evils of slavery but also the problem that exists “when you go around erasing all history” given America’s “complex” past. “Nobody is all good and nobody is all bad,” Bream said.
“To put your values on people that lived 200 years ago, I think it shows the arrogance of our generation,” Kilmeade responded.
“What about all those people who thought it was perfectly okay for women not to vote?” Kilmeade asked. “What about all those people… that thought it was perfectly okay for blacks to go to the back of the bus? Are they all horrible people? They’re brought up in a time where for some reason that was considered the norm. But as a society, we kept getting better. We always keep improving. But you can’t say that Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson are bad because you don’t agree with everything that they did.”
“If that’s the case then every leader that’s ever been, is gonna have a statue come down,” Bream noted.
At least he can read and write a book…..something that she needs to learn to do. All she has been reading are recipes like Michael Moore.
Whoopi and the left want the history of slavery and segregation in the US erased because it was the DEMOCRAT party which defended slave owning, formed the KKK, voted against the Civil Rights act. Don’t want the little children asking questions about the Democrat Party and leftists!
Doesn’t she realize that most Confederate statutes in the south also list names of soldiers who died for the cause (whether it was a good cause by today’s standards or not) in those particular cities? Those names mean something to their relatives too. In the future, if the liberals have their way, we might have a different type of government that feels the 9/11 memorial is of little meaning, so tear it down. Those women don’t seriously stop and think before they open their mouths.
Of course, the audience claps at their idiotic statements. There is a big sign being held up telling them to for ratings. Get real or get off the airways.
