Student Corners Pelosi on Bill to Stop Congress From Trading Individual Stocks – Her Answer Is Peak Pelosi (Video)
A college student just put Nancy Pelosi on the spot with the one question every American wants answered — and her response is pure, unfiltered Pelosi.
**Student:** “Do you support the bill that would ban members of Congress from trading individual stocks?”
**Pelosi:** “We on the Democratic side have supported the bill… I originally was reluctant.”
You can’t make this up.
The former Speaker — who has repeatedly insisted she and her husband Paul have “no knowledge” of his wildly successful stock trades that have made the Pelosi family tens of millions of dollars — finally admits she was personally against banning members of Congress from playing the market with inside information.
Watch the full cringe-worthy exchange here:
**Video:**
This is the same Nancy Pelosi whose family portfolio has outperformed the stock market by leaps and bounds for years, timing trades around major legislation with almost supernatural precision. Yet when asked point-blank about a commonsense reform that 80%+ of Americans support, she starts with the classic Democrat dodge: “We on the Democratic side have supported the bill”… before casually slipping in that she herself was “reluctant.”
Translation: She didn’t want to give up the golden goose.
For years, Pelosi has blocked, watered down, or slow-walked any real effort to ban congressional stock trading while lecturing the rest of America about “fairness” and “the little guy.” Now, caught on camera, she can’t even pretend to be enthusiastic about the reform her own party claims to back.
This moment perfectly captures why trust in Congress is in the toilet. The rules that apply to everyday Americans somehow never seem to apply to the permanent political class — especially not to Nancy Pelosi.
The student deserves a medal for that question. Pelosi’s answer just reminded everyone why the bill is needed in the first place.
