Rep Devin Nunes: “There Never Was A Collusion Between Trump And Russia
A day after President Trump wrote that he was under investigation for firing FBI Director James Comey, Devin Nunes said there “was never any collusion between Donald Trump and the Russians.” The House Intelligence Committee Chairman called on Washington to “stop chasing Russian ghosts around the closet.”
Nunes gave a speech at the Orange County Republican Party’s annual Flag Day Salute dinner, in which he condemned the on-going investigation into President Trump’s ties with Russia. He said that after searching some kind of evidence of collusion he realized that there was no such thing.
Nunes: “I said ‘OK, I don’t think there’s any collusion here.’ And what happened to me? All the major papers in the country did a total character assassination on me. Why? Because I was telling the truth, that there was never any collusion between Donald Trump and the Russians.”
Although many reports which clear President Trump of “Russian wrongdoing,” came out to light, it’s good to hear it from somebody else too, and hope that everybody will be convinced of the truth!
Nunes added: “I have to ask myself, Was this really an investigation in search of a crime? And I will tell you, if that’s what it ends up being, there will be a huge, huge division in this country.”
He continued: “Every night there’s a news story that runs that … has something in common. It’s anti-Trump, anti-Republican, and promotes this nonsense that you’re seeing with protesters everywhere. And they continue to promote it, which continues to promote violence.”
Finally, someone that has some sense in DC. It’s clear that this whole Russian thing Enough is enough! They have found nothing of the alleged collusion in a month so it is time to quit this witch hunt because that is what it is.
The reason for this witch hunt is Trump’s agenda to Drain the Swamp! The Swamp dwellers are fighting this at all cost! They do not want the truth to come out!
How many more people need to come out to explain that there was no collusion? It’s about time the spineless coward Republicans start standing up to and fighting the Democrats for the good of this country.
