American Culture

One Of The NFL’s Biggest Sponsors Considers Ending NFL Sponsorship Over Anthem Protests!

The NFL is now at the epicenter of the culture war. A backlash against traditional American culture is taking the shape of mass protests by NFL players taking a knee during the National Anthem. Conservative Americans are retaliating by delivering the NFL historically low ratings.

As the NFL’s Week 4 kicked off, the New Orleans Saints took a knee during the coin toss but stood for the anthem. Meanwhile, across the field, three members of the Miami Dolphins took a knee during the playing of the national anthem.
They continue to disrespect the national anthem and it seems that the NFL is facing huge backlash because of it!

First, the fans started to boycott them and now it seems that the sponsors started to abandon the sinking the ship!

Anheuser-Busch is reconsidering their NFL sponsorship, likely because the protests are very unpopular among everyday Americans. Bud Light currently serves as the official beer of the NFL.

The company also released a statement:

These are complex issues that require in-depth discussions and nuanced debate. What I can say is that at Anheuser-Busch we have a long heritage of supporting the institutions and values that have made America so strong. That includes our armed forces and the national anthem as well as diversity, equality and freedom of speech. We proudly employ over 1,100 military veterans and we work every day to create an inclusive environment for all of our employees. Because only together can we achieve our dream of bringing people together for a better world.

Since the company established the hotline and began to promote it, they have been bombarded with calls. According to KTVI-TV, the hotline went down Friday afternoon after receiving too many calls, but as of Sunday afternoon, the hotline is back up.

Feel free to share this article and show your support for the NFL boycott!

I 100% agree.. There will be purchase of any products in my household that sponsors the (N)FL.. I can not even call it National Football League.. because it is not representing the Nation.. It is disgrace full, to our country our founding fathers.. those who fought so hard in 1776 to keep that flag up going.. those who put our declaration up, our bill of rights up.. I have a whole list of sponsors with numbers if anyone cares to see them.. Just go to Boycott NFL and Sponsors on facebook.. Enough is enough and those who sponsors them are not all American to me.. We stand united as one under on nation before that flag.. and that flag has nothing to do with race!!! A bullet, or explosive of any sort in battle does not see race.. it only see’s American..

Bud should not sponsor any team that is protesting against America. They are taking a knee to support Colin Kaepernick, whom took a knee for his Muslim girlfriend. There is a proper place for protest and while getting paid millions to play a game is not the place. They need to take there money and use it for what ever they are protesting.

I applaud Bud’s notion of withdrawing from the NFL. These players are just wrong. I haven’t watched the NFL in over 2 weeks now. Nor will I throughout the rest of the season. I will watch NASCAR! They know how to salute this nation’s flag and it’s military. I’m an Air Force mom. And I’m done with the NFL. I’m also going to take my money from those that continue to sponsor these idiots.

If you boycott the product then you hert the people but if you boycott the NFL,the company will realize it’s wasting its money and pull out. Buy doing it that way, only the NFL and its players suffer.

I feel each one taking a knee should rather do something positive in their community to bring the changes they are looking for rather than being an example of disrespect toward our country and the flag. We live in a great country! Not perfect but great none the less. God bless America!

This is not a complex issue or issues. This is about being disrespectful to the men and women who have died to keep us free and the great people of this country who remember and honor that scarifice. You either honor that or you show no respect to the fallen and the great American people who do remember their scarifice. It’s not a hard decision. As a matter of fact it’s a no brainier.

Our national anthem, and the American flag are symbolic to this country and our constitution including our first amendment right to free speech. And these players taking a knee in Protest have created a oxiMORON. They are protesting the the very constitution and the first amendment. Yet our President Trump speaks out and tells owners to fire these disrespectful overpaid players. Well Trump has the same freedom of speech, yet he is chastised for his comments. But know this. Your continued sponsorship will prevent me from ever purchasing your product. I hav already stopped with pepsi. Stand tall. Please

Kneeling or anything other than standing with their hand (not their fist) over their heart is “NOT” acceptable. I’m done with the NFL and their disrespect, everyone in our family and basically most people we associate with feel the same. Any other sport that chooses to respond the way the NFL has will find themselves in the same situation. We will “BOYCOTT” anyone that disrespects our flag or the anthem…

We strongly urge you to withdraw your sponsorship of the NFL! If these young, ungrateful, ignorant overpaid athletes truly want to make a difference, they could be contributing some of their millions/ efforts to help veterans, service people, flood/hurricane victims or medical research. By withdrawing your sponsorship, you would send a very important message to the liberal media who has had the most to gain from stirring this mess and this hate! They, especially. need to be held accountable for the wrong messages that they are perpetuating. Thank you!

This has gotten out of control. Most people have forgotten how it even got started. The Media is thriving on it. Our international enemies are loving it as our wonderful country is falling apart. Why? We will all feel at one time or another that we have been discriminated against. That is part of life. Get over it. We should be working together. Helping each other. I will not knowingly patronize any NFL sponsors. These big boy players need to grow up. They make more in a year than many people do working 40 years. They are brainwashed. They could do so many positive things to help people. Instead they kneel!???? Enough. American public is tired of hearing about this

Kudos to AB-Bev for standing up against the national anthem protest. Yes, players have a right to protest but their protest should not include disrespect for our nations most precious symbol of freedom. Protest outside the confines of the playing field. After all, they are paid performers on a public stage many times paid for by federal funding. They are suppose to be rollmodels to our kids…their actions are disgraceful.

I do not mind the taking a knee before or after the National Anthem, but i strongly object to the taking a knee, raising a fist or any other demonstration during the Anthem. I have also noticed some players not having their hand over their heart and generally goofing off and not showing respect to our Flag during the National Anthem. That is not good either. If the players are going to be on the field during the playing of the National Anthem, they should show respect to our Flag.

I will also boycott the NFL and their National Sponsors until they stand for the Anthem and show respect for our Country, our flag and the men and women who serve to protect it along with those that died defending it. I am a supporter of free speech and the right to protest the injustices, but highly paid athletes paid to play a National sport do not have the right to use that field as their platform for protest.

I have had family serve in Military Services since the Civil War. Some of my ancestors died during the war to free the slaves. 2 of my high school friends died fighting the Vietnam war. They came back in caskets. It was a tramatic time for all but for the young it was a tragic life lesson. President Obama would never been president if the “whites” as we are called did not vote for him. Give us a break there are racists of all colors not just whites. I will continue to boycott the NFL and ANY supporters or companies that advertise on the TV stations or radio during the games until all athletes and the organization apologizes to the citizens of these great United States of America. They need to apologize, stand at attention facing the flag with their hand over their hearts to show respect to those who have fought for their rights. God bless America.

Whether you kneel before or during the anthem,it’s still protesting. Keep your politics out of the game. I appreciate that your company is standing behind our country & the fans. I have been a DieHard Cleveland Browns fan for over 60 years. I have not watched a single NFL game yet this season. I also refuse to use any product from any sponsor of the NFL. This Insanity has to stop. I don’t have a prejudiced bone in my body and never have had. I would help anyone protest a Cause that I deemed relevant but it would have to be done at the right time at the right place. NFL football players are at work when they are playing football against another team. I would be fired if I tried to protest at my place of work. I hope you make the right decision.
