Politics has no place in a beauty pageant. Sadly, for the left, this is just another chance to push their agenda. Too bad.
Even though Margana Wood, also known as Miss Texas didn’t win the 2018 Miss America pageant, she stole the spotlight on the evening with her political response to a question about President Donald Trump, Charlottesville, and white supremacy.
Wood was asked: “Last month a demonstration of neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and the KKK in Charlottesville turned violent and a counter-protestor was killed. The president said there was shared blame with ‘very fine people on both sides. Were there? Tell me yes or no, and explain.”
Miss Texas then delivered this firm political answer:
“I think that the white supremacist issue, it was very obvious that it was a terrorist attack, and I think that President Donald Trump should have made a statement earlier addressing the fact, and making sure that all Americans feel safe in this country. That is the number one issue right now.”
You see that she did not win!!! You would think she would have been more worried about the people of her state and the devastation there, than trying to take stabs at Trump!!! She just made herself look stupid and lost!!!
That was the most shameless display of bias politics I’ve seen! And you put all those women on the spot…they had to pander to the liberals to hope to win! Sickening!
What President Trump said was 100% correct. There is blame on both sides, can’t have that fight if only one side showed up. There is good in everyone, sometimes one needs to dig a little deeper!
However, political questions shouldn’t have been asked. It really was inappropriate for the contestants to have to answer questions if that nature. It didn’t even feel right to me when the questions were asked or answered. They ruined the Miss America pageant with political correctness. For crying out loud can’t we have any peace and quiet even in our entertainment!?
