Gowdy Says Defends Jeff Sessions ‘Not Tantamount To Perjury’

Trey Gowdy is a great American!! He is one of the few who places America before power and money. So much respect for him.
Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., shot down accusations by Democrats that Attorney General Jeff Sessions committed perjury during his senate confirmation hearing.

“Attorney General Sessions incorrectly answered a question.

That happens almost every day in Congress and there aren’t perjury referrals. People do make mistakes,” Gowdy told Fox News’ Martha MacCullum Thursday night.

From Fox News:
Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C. told Fox News’ “The First 100 Days” Thursday that Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ failure to disclose two conversations he had with Russia’s ambassador to Congress “is not tantamount to perjury.”

“Having been there six years, almost every witness gets some fact incorrect. That is not tantamount to perjury,” he added.

Sessions announced earlier Thursday that he would recuse himself from “any existing or future investigations” regarding the 2016 presidential campaign after the Washington Post reported the discussions with Russian envoy Sergey Kislyak.(video Below)

Gowdy, Cruz and Jay Skulaw need to be advisors to Sessions in preparing a new executive order pronto! 3 extremely brilliant Constitution lawyers.

One of then just proves that with a stunning statement today.

The truth will always be the truth no matter how hard people try to stretch it to fit their agendas, a habit I for one am tired of.

Trey Gowdy is the John Wayne of politics in my mind love his statement, nothing but the truth.
