Official Confirmation: Mexican Illegal Alien Led the UFC Freedom 250 White House Explosive-Drone Terror Plot — Here’s Who Let Him In
Federal authorities have now confirmed the identity and background of the ringleader behind the foiled terror plot that targeted the UFC Freedom 250 event on the White House South Lawn.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, a Mexican national, was the key organizer of the alleged conspiracy. He and his co-conspirators planned to use explosive-laden drones to force a mass evacuation of the event, then direct the crowd toward sniper positions before launching a second wave to storm the White House gates.
Alvarez, who went by the alias “Shepherd” in encrypted group chats, allegedly directed the planning, including the use of “counter snipers and drones” and instructions to make the attack “as deadly as we can get.” The group discussed specific locations for drone launches and sniper positions in the National Capital Region.

DHS announced that Alvarez entered the United States legally on a B2 visitor visa but overstayed it after December 2001. Years later, the Obama Administration granted him Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status in 2014. He was living in Omaha, Nebraska, at the time of his arrest.
Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis issued a direct statement: “This illegal alien from Mexico should never have been allowed in our country. He was the ringleader of a failed terror attack targeting UFC Freedom 250 at the White House. He and his co-conspirators now face charges of conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit violence on White House grounds. He will face justice and swiftly be removed from our country.”
ICE has placed a detainer on Alvarez. He and four other suspects — Tycen Proper, Bryan Omar Roa, Michael Alan Thomas, and Daniel Eskridge — face federal charges. The broader network reportedly involved up to 23 people discussing the plot.
The investigation was triggered in part by a concerned mother who contacted authorities about her son’s sudden radicalization and weapons purchases. That tip helped unravel the larger conspiracy before the attack could take place on June 14.
This case underscores serious failures in past immigration policies. An individual who overstayed a visa for more than two decades and later received DACA protections was allegedly able to organize a mass-casualty plot aimed at the White House itself. The current administration’s focus on enforcement and removal stands in stark contrast to the policies that allowed this situation to develop.
The plot was stopped before it could harm anyone. Alvarez and his co-conspirators will now face the full weight of the justice system — and swift deportation for the ringleader.
