Texas 7th Grader Was Forced By Teacher to Deny God Exists. But She Refused To It and DID This Instead!

Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father in heaven.

But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven.” (Matthew 10:32-33)

A teacher in Katy, Texas, reportedly handed her students an assignment that called for them to DENY the existence of God, or else they’ll face a poor grade.

Jordan Wooley, a Texas seventh-grade student with a straight-A average at the West Memorial Junior High School – a facility within the Katy Independent School District – told school board members her classmates were given a test on the existence of God.Here’s a video of her she boldly speaking of her firm belief and faith in the Lord addressing her concern with her teacher in front of the School Board.

This is indeed a very special young lady. I admire her for coming to you and I am appalled by the teacher doing anything like this. She definitely is in the wrong and should be definitely put on suspension or even dismissed.
God bless this girl for her maturity and compassion for her friends in that class.

Clearly, her rights were violated. The teacher was completely out of line and should be at least censured, and put on notice that if this kind of thing continued, they would be fired. But those who might use this kind of incident to further the notion that this is typical of ‘liberals’ in education, are perpetrating an untruth, for their own agenda.

Teachers should not be teaching that there is no God, or that there is a God, teaching that one religion or the other is right or wrong. Some conservatives promote the idea that Christianity should be promoted in school, or other institutions, or prayer promoted or practiced publicly. This goes against the constitution, that one religion or another should be promoted by the state. This obviously is not fair to those who don’t share that religion who can feel ostracized by not participating. By not having public prayer in public schools, Christians right to practice their religion is not interfered with, they can always pray privately, in the spirit of Matthew 6:5-6:

“And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men….when thou prayest, enter into thy closet and when thou has shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret….”

I would identify myself as a progressive, or as sometimes referred to when I post on sites like these, ‘libtard’, and other even more nasty, vile insults I don’t take personally.

The constitution does not forbid the teaching of religion…It only forbids the establishment of a single religion at the expense of all others. A state religion. Teaching is not establishment. People forget that the majority of schools in the colonies were started by churches…not the government.
