Meloni Accuses Trump of Fabricating Statements — Then G7 Video Drops and Exposes Her as a Liar
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni just went full drama queen on Donald Trump, claiming his statements about her were “completely fabricated” and that she’s “frankly appalled” by how he treats allies.
She went on to lecture the President of the United States, saying it’s a pity he doesn’t show the same determination toward the “enemies of the West” and reminding everyone that “Italy and I never beg.”
Italian PM Meloni to Trump:
So, certain things deserve an immediate response.
Donald Trump’s statements are completely fabricated. I am frankly appalled. I don’t know why the President of the United States behaves this way towards his allies; after all, it’s not the first time… pic.twitter.com/6ahylULwmX

It was a strong, fiery performance — until the receipts started dropping.
Just as Meloni was busy playing the victim and accusing Trump of making things up, older footage from the same G7 events surfaced showing her doing the exact opposite of what she claimed. In the clips, Meloni is clearly courting Trump’s attention and friendship, practically bending over backward to align herself with him and America.
Video:
The hypocrisy is glaring. One minute she’s acting like Trump is some kind of bully who doesn’t respect allies. The next, the camera catches her actively seeking his approval and cooperation. It’s the kind of flip-flop that makes people wonder who the real fabricator is here.
Even more telling is the company she’s keeping now that she’s decided to take shots at Trump.
While Meloni was busy grandstanding about not begging, she seemed perfectly comfortable cozying up to other leaders who have zero interest in putting America or the West first. The contrast couldn’t be more obvious.
This isn’t the first time a European leader has tried to play both sides — talking tough about Trump in public while privately wanting his help and influence. But the videos don’t lie. Meloni’s own words and body language from just days earlier completely undercut her sudden outrage.
Trump has never been one to play the polite European game of pretending everything is fine while enemies circle. He calls things as he sees them. If Meloni doesn’t like that, she’s free to align herself with whoever she wants. But she shouldn’t be shocked when the footage of her earlier attempts to get close to Trump comes back to haunt her.
Italy may not beg, but the videos suggest its prime minister was awfully eager to make friends with the man she’s now publicly attacking. That kind of political two-step is exactly why so many people are done with the old way of doing business.
The G7 footage tells the real story. Meloni can spin it however she wants, but the camera doesn’t care about political theater.
