Joshua Steinman, a former Trump White House National Security Council (NSC) official, has issued a stark warning to Trump supporters. Steinman, who served from 2017 to 2021 as Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Cyber, explains the critical role of the NSC: ensuring the President’s directives are carried out by government agencies. He urged the incoming administration to prioritize rapid staff turnover to bring in loyal and capable individuals, warning that failure to do so could lead to the same pitfalls that plagued Trump’s first term.
