Just hours later, Frontier Airlines Flight 2539 from Columbus, Ohio, to Atlanta declared a potential hijacking upon landing at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport around 5:09 p.m. The Airbus A320 was quickly directed to an inactive runway and isolated for nearly two hours while emergency vehicles surrounded it. Crew audio indicated a black male passenger in seat 3A threatened to kill the person next to him and claimed there was a bomb on board. The crew treated the situation as a credible hijacking threat. Passengers were eventually deplaned and bused to the terminal.
