2A Triumph! Good Guy with Gun Halts Walmart Mass Stabbing, Saves Traverse City from Worse Horror (Video)
A terrifying scene unfolded Saturday afternoon at a Walmart in Traverse City, Michigan, when a man launched a random stabbing spree near the checkout lanes, leaving 11 people injured—six critically and five in serious condition. But thanks to a brave armed citizen and a handful of courageous bystanders, the situation was brought under control before it turned into a full-blown massacre.
The suspect, a 42-year-old local resident, reportedly acted alone and used a folding-style knife in his attack. Authorities say the rampage began around 4:45 p.m. and appeared to be entirely random. Victims were rushed to Munson Medical Center, with some requiring immediate surgery due to the severity of their injuries.
But amid the chaos, one man stepped up. In video footage released by local media, an armed citizen can be seen confronting the knife-wielding suspect in the Walmart parking lot. With gun drawn and voice steady, he demanded the attacker drop his weapon. Others nearby can also be seen attempting to comfort the injured and aid in the takedown.

“This was a joint effort all the way through to, as I mentioned, the citizens, and thankfully, no one else was injured. Eleven is eleven too many, but thank God it wasn’t more,” said Grand Traverse County Sheriff Michael Shea in a press briefing.
That “joint effort” included the good guy with a gun—a living example of why the Second Amendment matters now more than ever.
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino confirmed federal agents are also involved in the investigation, offering support as needed. No motive has yet been established for the brutal attack.
One thing is clear: armed citizens can and do save lives.

I bet the police were all over that “good guy with a gun” to try and get him too.
