Trump Administration Close The Door On Another Obama Immigration Policy

Obama was very good at saying one thing (to appease the ignorant) but doing another. He said, “Millions of us, myself included, go back generations in this country, with ancestors who put in the painstaking work to become citizens. So we don’t like the notion that anyone might get a free pass to American citizenship.”

Funny how he claimed he had ancestors that went back generations and painstakingly worked to become citizens, only to turn his back on that part of his heritage while letting in thousands of Muslim refugees.

But luckily for us, President Trump is doing exactly what we elected him to do! On Wednesday, Trump administration ended another Obama-era program — the one created to give Central American minors fleeing poverty and gang violence in their homeland temporary legal status in the United States.

President Barack Obama’s administration established the “CAM parole” program in 2014 to respond to a surprise spike in the number of unaccompanied minors and families entering the country illegally from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. The program allowed minors who did not make the cut for “refugee status” to enter the U.S. on a two-year, renewable parole if they had a parent already legally in the country.

According to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, which oversaw the project, 1,465 minors have been granted entry under the parole program. Another 2,714 people had been conditionally approved to enter the U.S. but have now lost the opportunity.
The program’s future seemed to be in jeopardy in February when the Department of Homeland Security froze it — saying it was under internal review as part of a wave of executive orders Trump signed during his first few weeks in office.

J. Kevin Appleby, a senior director at the Center for Migration Studies announced the program’s termination. He described the end of the program as “mean-spirited,” and said it hurt “really vulnerable” children.

R. Carter Langston, a spokesman for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services said that by this summer, of the approximately 10,000 people who had applied for entry, 2,193 had been approved as refugees. However, those who have already received parole will not see any immediate changes when the parole program ends on Wednesday. But, as before, they will have to reapply for parole when the two-year period is up.

I challenge anyone to name one thing that Obama did, that does not need to be undone! Obama did nothing but evil to the American people. President Trump knows we need to take care of our own citizens first, so he took things in his hands!

Keep it up the good work, President Trump. MAGA!
