Players Who Protested The National Anthem Today Got Devastating News! A62-63 of the NFL League Rulebook States Disrespect Of The National Anthem Will Result With Suspension

If athletes can’t stand for the national anthem then they don’t deserve playing football and getting paid millions of dollars in this country. These days it is such an embarrassing shame what America has turned into.

President Trump today called for football fans to boycott N.F.L. games unless the league fires or suspends players who refuse to stand for the national anthem, saying that players must “stop disrespecting our flag and country.”

This has resulted with at least 100 players kneeling, sitting linking arms, giving black power salutes and not even showing up for the national anthem out of protest.
Players from both the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars were the first to protest by taking a knee ahead of their game at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday morning. No players were kneeling during the playing of God Save The Queen – the British national anthem.

Really they respect the British anthem and not our own well HERE  you can see the full list of the players who protested today and you can share this and boycott them!

It seems that these player forgot that there is NFL rule book and even Roger Goodell will not be able to help them this time!

A62-63 of the NFL League Rulebook. It states:

“The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem.
“During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition…
…It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

If these players were not in the NFL they would be like any other citizen. They should not be able to impose their beliefs or attitudes on a national platform.

If athletes can’t stand for the national anthem then they don’t deserve playing football and getting paid millions of dollars in this country. These days it is such an embarrassing shame what America has turned into.

Correction the rule is in The NFL Game Operations Manual!
But still the rule is out there and Roger Goodell needs to do something about it!

What do you think?

Share this article and this rule that could put an end to every player who decides to protest the national anthem!

So if a lawyer, accountant, or doctor, or a engineer doesn’t for the anthem they don’t deserve to practice their professions or make a living?

That is not in their job responsibilities or boiler plate in their contract.
But if they did not stand and respect the National Anthem or Pledge of Allegiance, they would deserve a kick in the junk.

Is that listed in their business operations manual? My doctors doesn’t have music piped in to their offices, so the problem hasn’t come up. I don’t gave an accountant, lawyer ir engineer so, I wouldn’t know how they operate their business’. However, I can tell you I have not taken any government money to stand and salute tbe flag .

A lawyer, doctor, dentist etc etc are not entertainers. The public pays to be entertained and the entertainment industry has forgotten who pays them. Do they think that paycheck comes from the NFL? NO. That paycheck comes from hard working Americans that don’t want to be insulted on their DIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are working privately in their own fields. I don’t believe that they would play the natl anthem before they start work in their offices. But if they did, it is up to the the patients to boycott them! The public is not involved. Thry don’t have a platgorm like the NFL.

The NFL rulebook makes no mention of the national anthem. But the game operations manual does.
Here’s what the game operations manual says regarding the national anthem, according to an NFL spokesperson:

The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem.

During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. If these players have so little respect for our anthem and our flag they shouldn’t be on the field AT ALL (for every game and forfeit getting paid millions of dollars. millions of men and women have fought and many died to keep our freedom in this country . And to disrespect these hero’s is a disgrace and I for one will no longer enjoy the game of football (in which I loved to watch ,but until these players start showing more respect I will never have it on my tv or go to another game! And I hope for all the people that know what the flag and anthem stands for I hope they turn off there sets also!

this is false…To verify this content, we first looked at the NFL’s 2017 Official Playing Rules. Nowhere in the 2017 rulebook does the NFL mention the National Anthem. Pages 62 and 63 contain information on the enforcement of fouls. No where in the NFL rules does it say anything about the National Anthem. Read it yourself…You really should check your facts before you publish something. That is what is wrong with reporters now days, they don’t check the facts before the publish something.

I lost tremendous respect for the owners of the “NFL”, lack of leadership and total disrespect by the players leads me to one conclusion….They need to be fired; they represent “Poor Character”, and we are lead to believe they do not love our country or the “American People”….I think we should block the “NFL” ; until they get rid of these disrepectfuly NFL players. We don’t need anymore hardships, and hatefulness towards our country and our people. Why should we pay for them, when they have no respect for us. “FIRE THEM” and quit the “Politcal Correctness”….

States, … Players are prohibited from wearing, displaying or Otherwise Conveying personal messages either in writing or Illustration [Unless] such message has been Approved in advance by the League Office….
Unfortunately the NFL Commissioner has no patriotic backbone it seems and has Not condemned such unpatriotic behaviors. Sad times in the NFL. The commissioner needs Replaced!

Nowhere in the 2017 rulebook does the NFL mention the National Anthem. Pages 62 and 63 contain information on the enforcement of fouls.

The last official word on the topic came from NFL Spokesman Brian McCarthy in August 2016, when Colin Kaepernick first “took a knee”. According to NBC Sports, McCarthy wrote in a statement that “Players are encouraged but not required to stand during the playing of the National Anthem.”

The circulating text regarding an NFL rule specifically addressing the National Anthem is verified to be FALSE information.

I am sick of the disrespectful attitude of these NFL players so today I sent a letter to the Seahawks & one to the NFL. Although it likely won’t do any good, at least I got it off my chest & I will NEVER watch the NFL again.

I have always been a Seahawk’s fan having grown up in Washington State however, after hearing today that the team will be staying in the locker room until after the National Anthem, I will NO LONGER EVER support the Seahawks or attend another game. Your totally biased anti-American attitude is wrong, totally disgusting & I sincerely hope your attendance & ticket prices are severely affected by this. Although, as Americans we may not always like what our government does or like our current President, WE ARE Americans & our forefathers & military troops have fought hard for our freedom while you essentially spit in the face of every American in this country for a few black players who have extremist unpatriotic attitudes. Shame on you Seahawk’s owners & management! First & foremost I AM an American & I salute our flag & support this country. Your over entitled players are paid totally ludicrous salaries to play a GAME, not fight this country or work in a field (police, firefighters, etc.) where they risk their lives & are paid little for it. Many veterans will & should be outraged over your behavior as will numerous patriotic Americans. As the owners & managers, YOU are the example & should have NEVER gone long with players like this & set this bad precedent! See the video below from a veteran regarding this. Good riddance to the Seahawks!

Our National Anthem and flag stands for so much. How dare the players that take a knee and dont stand. They are completely disrespecting our country and using the NFL to protest they definitely should be suspended for the disrespect of what the National Anthem stands for and charged air time by Fox for the free advertising they got. If i was there boss i would tell them to take there free time while suspended go buy some poster board and two by fours to picket and protest like people that arent privileged do. And dont forget to stop at the bank to pay back the free air time they stoled that the NFL pays for. Not only are they disrespecting everything this country stands for and that should be enough but they are using, taking advantage and dragging the NFL threw the mud for there own personal gain. Wake up NFL!

The players are doing a silent protest at a football game which is a pastime not a funeral or an official military ceremony. Who cares let them do it. As for what they are protesting, many police forces have some issues and can be improved just like any other job. This whole code of silence after a situation is bogus.

YES! Some people are going to be really surprised. What do you want to bet they will be modifying the rules come future updates. However it does require the ENTIRE NFL to vote and agree. What do you also want to bet it will be a one game suspension? However if they continue, the suspensions should continue as repeat offenses. No doubt there will be emergency meetings held. LOL! Love it!

Really? If this is a rule, do you think any player takes it serious? Most of them feel they are above the laws, so rules don’t stand a chance! They are our elite athletes! We should honor them and their right to entitlement! I bet they don’t even know what they are protesting! Soros is probably paying them to do this. I hope they keep doing this and they run themselves out of their previous jobs! Football is a sport for entertainment not for politics! These men are all acting like boys instead of men! Grow up!

I don’t give a rats ass if it is in a rule book or not.. you want to protest? Protest.. OUR flag and OUR country isn’t the problem, so you should show your respect towards it. You have a problem with police brutality or with the people running this country then let me see you doing something about that.. I sure as he’ll don’t see your name in the news speaking out or see you outside of the stadium. You are paid millions of dollars to play football.. how about you take yourself over to where our boys are serving in your off season and get a taste of them doing THEIR job of serving OUR country…and then show them your disrespect of them and their job… and you know what? They would let you because they know what it is to be a real man and have respect for others, something not one of you can claim.. your a bunch of whiney ass overpaid jocks who don’t have the sense God gave you..

The players have no right to use the NFL as a platform during the National Anthem to make any statement verbal or non-verbal. Not only is this conduct unprofessional, it is completely disrespectful to our Flag, our Vets, our Military and our Citizens who respect our Flag and our Country. Any team owners who side with the players and Godell, equally disrespect our Country in my view. I won’t watch any NFL game because of this baloney. The Advertisers and Fans should boycott the NFL too. The Flag and Country the players and owners disrespect is the very provider of the riches they earned with their ball playing skills. You owe your Country an apology!

But please think about the way we choose to ignore the look-down-your-nose treatment all people that are of different color, religion, orientation, class receive. Let’s take inventory of ourselves. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Update – The NFL Game Operations Manual DOES state that:

“The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

Please note, the meme going around several days ago said it was in the Official NFL Rulebook which is different from the Game Operations Manual. The Rulebook handles the rules of the game. The Game Operations Manual handles how teams and players should conduct themselves.
