This is a sad day for all Americans that honor their earthbound protectors.A horrifying tragedy happened on Monday afternoon in Mississippi after a U.S. Marine Corps. KC-130 airplane crashed into a soybean field. One Navy Corpsman and 15 Marines died at the scene. (video below)
The KC-130T, from Marine Aerial Refueling and Transport Squadron (VMGR) 452, Marine Air Group-49, was transporting personnel and equipment from the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in North Carolina, to Naval Air Field El Centro, California.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known and the identities of those killed were not immediately released.
“While the details of the incident are being investigated, our focus remains on providing the necessary resources and support to the family and friends of these service members as they go through this extremely difficult time,” the Marine Corps said. “More information will be released as it becomes available.”
After the sad tragedy happened President Trump and FLOTUS Melania offered their deep condolences to families of the military people who lost their lives.
President Trump tweeted after the crash that the ‘Marine Plane crash in Mississippi is heartbreaking’ as he sent his and Melania’s “deepest condolences to all.”
