Thumbs up to the officer for going above and beyond his call of duty.
A Phoenix resident has shared a heartwarming moment between a homeless man and police officer that he caught on camera.
Raymond Celaya says Phoenix Police Officer Mark Valenzuela helped provide a new pair of shoes to a man in need last Friday.
The good deed took place that afternoon near a gas station at the intersection of 27th Avenue and McDowell Road.
In the video, the officer is seen kneeling on the ground, putting the brand new shoes on the man’s feet as he sits comfortably on the back of his patrol car.
Celaya says he posted the video to show the good character of Phoenix Police officers and the community as a whole.

Upon further investigation, he discovered that the man had no socks and raw feet. He simply could not let this man go without doing something for him. When he pulled the shoes out of the back of his police truck the phone cameras came out.
Our police work hard day in, day out. They are often looked down on because of the image that the left has built for them. They are often portrayed as savages, racists, so on, and so forth. This is simply not true.
I pray others are inspired to reach out when a fellow human being is in such need through videos like this one, and just plain through the love of God who made us all with his heart deep inside us if we chose to connect with it we can do amazing things that we never imagined.
