Morgan Freeman has surprised many people especially Hollywood liberals with his latest statement!
Morgan Freeman may have thrown his celebrity weight — if celebrities have any political weight anymore — behind Hillary Clinton in the election, but he’s staying positive about Donald Trump’s presidency.
Previously a vocal Hillary Clinton supporter, actor Morgan Freeman is now spreading a message of hope when it comes to President Donald Trump’s time in office.
Freeman had positive things to say about the new president in a recently published interview in AARP: The Magazine.
“I’m holding out hope that Donald Trump has to be a good president. He can’t not be. What I see is a guy who will not lose.”
That’s quite a change for Freeman, who previously narrated a political ad for Hillary and called criticism of the Clintons and their corruption “political hogwash.”
Perhaps Freeman’s views and willingness to give President Trump a chance are shaped by the fact he does not live in either Hollywood or New York.
Like Matthew McConaughey, who has urged everyone to give Trump a chance and stated he has to be accepted as OUR president, Freeman lives far from the coastal liberal bastions.
With this latest comments, Freeman draws a sharp contrast with the celebrities who have bullied Trump’s 10-year-old son, talked about blowing up the White House — and promoted impeachment virtually from the moment Trump was sworn in as the 45th president.
At least not everyone in Hollywood has lost their mind and gone into full meltdown mode.
