Yesterday ahead of hosting the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards, host and comedian Stephen Colbert said Sunday he already knows who the biggest star in television is this year — President Donald Trump.
“The biggest TV star of this year is undoubtedly Donald Trump,” Colbert told CBS News. “No one’s close. You know, how like the Bible outsells every book of all time. Donald Trump is the Bible of the 2016-2017 television season. If you don’t include Donald Trump as a TV star this year, you’re lying.”
But he wasn’t the only one there is a full list of celebrities that bashed Trump and it seems that they will lose a lot of fans!
Alec Baldwin took home the Emmy for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series for playing Trump on Saturday Night Live.
At long last Mr. President here is your Emmy,” Baldwin said referencing Trump’s failure to win for ‘The Apprentice.’ He added that the “Orange wig proved to be effective’ birth control.”
Some things Alec are best kept private.
Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda said, “and in 2017 we still refuse to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot.”
Donald Glover won an Emmy for lead actor in a comedy series said,
“I want to thank Trump for making black people number one on the most oppressed list – he’s the reason I’m probably up here.”
That’s is little much even for Hollywood don’t you think?
As Trump said America’s racial divide was not healed by Obama so we cannot expect miracle from him in less than a year.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, winner for lead actress in a comedy series said,
“We did have a story-line about an impeachment, but we abandoned that because we were worried that someone else might get to it first.”
Sean Spicer stunned the audience by even showing up and then literally made jaws drop with,
“This will be the largest audience to witness an Emmys. Period. Both in person, and around the world.”
John Lithgow said,
“First and foremost, I want to thank Winston Churchill. In these crazy times, his life reminds us what courage and leadership in government looks like.”
Kumail Nanjiani, whoever the that is said in announcing the nominees for outstanding reality-competition program,
“They also celebrate people who frantically race across international borders, and those who can scale walls really, really quickly. In other words, the president’s worst nightmare.”
And of course Steven Colbert who said among his many vicious shots at Trump,
“But he didn’t. Because unlike the presidency, Emmys go to the winner of the popular vote.”
“Of course, there’s no way anyone could possibly watch that much TV, other than the president, who seems to have a lot of time for that sort of thing. Hello sir, thank you for joining us! Looking forward to the tweets.”
“We know that the biggest TV star of the last year is Donald Trump. No, we may not like it, but he’s the biggest star. And you know, Alec Baldwin, obviously. You guys are neck and neck. And Alec, you’re up against a lot of neck.”
“However you feel about the president, and you do feel about the president, you can’t deny that every show was influenced by Donald Trump in some way. All the late night shows, obviously, ‘House of Cards,’ the new season of ‘American Horror Story.”
Let’s show these privileged anti-American losers in Hollywood, they are rich and famous because of us THE FANS. Keep boycotting Hollywood
