After President Trump reinstate a program that allows ICE to partner with local law enforcement to locate and catch undocumented immigrant, Connecticut’s governor Malloy put himself above the law and sent memos to school superintendents and chiefs of police with recommendations on how they should respond to requests from the Department f Homeland Security and how they should interact with agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
In a written statement, Ana Maria Rivera-Forastieri, director of advocacy at Junta for Progressive Action said- “The message is loud and clear, the state of Connecticut will not allow the Trump administration’s racist and xenophobic actions to destroy our community”.
But only two days after Connecticut’s governor Malloy administration sent memos, deported illegal alien murdered his girlfriend and kidnapped her six-year-old daughter.
“Oscar Obedio Hernandez, a citizen of El Salvador, was issued a Final Order of Removal by an immigration judge on Oct. 29, 2013,” said spokesman Shawn Neudauer. “He was removed from the United States by ICE officers in Hartford, CT on Nov. 27, 2013. He has prior felony convictions from 2002 for assault and threatening, as well as several misdemeanor convictions. ICE has placed an immigration detainer with the Bridgeport (Connecticut) Police Department.”
Gov. Dan Malloy’s spokeswoman, Kelly Donnelly, issued a statement today regarding the incident between Hernandez and the ICE.
“Our local laws are designed to protect our residents and also ensure that those in harm’s way feel safe seeking help from law enforcement. That’s why convicted violent felons are detained for deportation under our state laws that the governor has consistently and strongly supported.” said Donnelly.
An Amber Alert was issued early Friday morning for Aylin Sofia Hernandez, 6, from Bridgeport. Police say her mother, Nidia Gonzalez, 26, was stabbed to death in a domestic dispute with her father. The mother’s female friend is in critical condition after the stabbing, police said.
So much for sanctuary cities Gov. Dan Malloy. It’s such shame, that people are getting killed because of these illegals that are setting up in sanctuary cities that you provided them. I wonder who we should blame for this?!? After you turn a blind eye to the illegals when you were supposed to deport them, then I suppose any crime committed by them is your fault.
Shame on you!!
