Isn’t it instructive that the liberal mainstream media (D) never highlight bad behavior by one of their own?
Back in June 2010, U.S. Representative for North Carolina’s 2nd congressional district from 1997 to 2011, Congressman Bob Etheridge, was asked by a student reporter if he supported the “Obama agenda.” Etheridge promptly attempted to grab the reporter’s cell phone camera, then grab the reporter’s wrist, demanding, “Who are you! Tell me who you are… I have a right to know who you are!”
A friend who recorded the incident on camera told the congressman that they were “just here for a project,” but that didn’t seem to help. Instead of calming down, Etheridge ignored the student’s pleas to be released and grabbed him by the neck instead.
Nobody has the right to put their hands on anyone because of words. Actually, it is against the law. You can not logically say you are for Law and Order and then support breaking the law. Sadly the media never bothered to ask every Democrat in power about Etheridge’s behavior, or whether it ought to be condemned.
However, when something similar happened with Montana Congressional candidate Greg Gianforte and the reported from Guardian, the media can’t shut up about it.
Amazing – it’s okay for the liberals to act that way – but boy when the Republicans do – watch out because we are held to a different standard. But after all, if media didn’t have a double standard, they’d have no standard at all.
Let’s not forget that in the Montana case, it was a reporter that had badgered and invading the personal space of the candidate repeatedly on numerous occasions, almost in a way that seemed to be intended at some point to provoke a physical encounter.
While I am not condoning attacking a reporter, I am asking why the reporter had not been physically removed from the room and charged with trespass.the reporter had forcefully entered a room he was not authorized to be in.
In the case of Etheridge it was the mere asking of a question and not a near physical assault and invading the personal space that caused the outburst, but merely asking a question.
