Confirmed! It’s Not The NFL Rulebook Rule, But The NFL Game Operations Manual DOES State That Disrespect Of The National Anthem Will Result With Suspension

President Trump called for football fans to boycott N.F.L. games unless the league fires or suspends players who refuse to stand for the national anthem, saying that players must “stop disrespecting our flag and country.”

This has resulted with at least 200 players kneeling, sitting linking arms, giving black power salutes and not even showing up for the national anthem out of protest.

Players from both the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars were the first to protest by taking a knee ahead of their game at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday morning. No players were kneeling during the playing of God Save The Queen – the British national anthem.

There is a rule that prevents the players of disrespecting the anthem!
Well, the rule is there the protesters whined that the rule is not in the rulebook but still it’s in the game operation manual!

The NFL Game Operations Manual DOES state that:

“The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of a draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

Please note, the meme going around several days ago said it was in the Official NFL Rulebook which is different from the Game Operations Manual. The Rulebook handles the rules of the game. The Game Operations Manual handles how teams and players should conduct themselves.

Share this article and this rule that could put an end to every player who decides to protest the national anthem!

Can everyone then assume that the NFL Operations Manual is simply a waste of a piece of paper? I thought it was an NFL rule……. whatever it is, these teams are going to get a financial backlash like they have never seen before. Pissed off fans are never going to just forget. Most upset are families and fellow soldiers that have welcomed home a casket draped with that so called “piece of cloth,” our United States symbol of FREEDOM – our beautiful FLAG.
