Breaking: Zuckerburg Makes Shocking Announcement About Trump

Donald Trump is now President-elect, and there are all sorts of mixed reactions around the country. From shouts of joy from many on the Right to violent riots and calls for assassination from the Left, and many more varied reactions in the media, the election of Trump is shaking up the country. Whether that shaking is a good or a bad thing remains to be seen (though, I reckon most of us hope that he is a good President, agree or disagree with some of his stances and styles).

While many on the far Left in the media and tech world are absolutely losing their minds about the election of Trump, there are some who are accepting the results more graciously and are actually expressing hope that something good may come of this.

One of those people is Facebook Founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg.

As The Sun reported:

MARK Zuckerberg has said he is “feeling hopeful” after Donald Trump beat the pollsters and pundits to be named President of the United States.

The Facebook supremo’s optimism stands in stark contrast to the attitude of the grumpy Silicon Valley billionaires who want California to secede after The Donald’s astonishing success.

On his own Facebook page, Zuck wrote a post describing watching the election with his young daughter, Max.

He wrote: “Last night was Max’s first election. She’s got a lot of election nights ahead of her.

“Holding Max, I thought about all the work ahead of us to create the world we want for our children.

“This work is bigger than any presidency and progress does not move in a straight line.”

The social network boss called for a renewed focus on “the most important opportunities of Max’s generation” which includes curing “all disease, improving education, connecting everyone and promoting equal opportunity”.

This reaction is rather surprising. Zuckerberg is well-known for being a political liberal, but the fact that he is expressing this position is something that we on the Right should be grateful for; when such graciousness is shown, we should reciprocate and extend the olive branch so that we can bind the wounds that this election has brought on us.

Zuckerberg’s hopefulness is, unfortunately, a rarity in the industry. Many, many others are rather hostile to the President-elect and are not expressing any willingness to work with the new administration.

Shervin Pishevar, a venture capitalist and co-founder of Hyperloop One, has drawn up a 25 page document detailing his plans for California to secede from the US to create the world’s sixth largest economy.

He first announced the plans on election night, when The Donald’s victory began to crystallise.

“It’s the most patriotic thing I can do,” he told CNBC.

“The country is at serious crossroads.”

He even drew up a flag for the proposed new state, which features a large bear and a Soviet-esque red star.

Okay, that’s pretty wacky. But, yet again, how about when a whole lot of Texans advocated secession when Obama was re-elected? All of a sudden it doesn’t seem like that bad of an idea.

But in all seriousness, if the state of California wants to legitimately secede, let them. If they want to do their thing, let them do it. Let them reap the consequences of their decisions. We The People of the United States choose a better way.

Now, remember this, I did not support Trump. However, he is going to be the next President, and I will do my part to help steer him in the path of Constitutionalism and liberty. And I am glad to see that there are at least some on the political Left who are willing to work with the deck that has been dealt.

Let us not waste this opportunity to bind up these wounds.
