Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
Following the recent events of whether or not to take down statues of Confederate soldiers, a man named Nathan Coflin started a petition on Change.org to gain support for the swap.
Coflin writes, “Who better to encapsulate the culture and spirit of the city enshrined in a new monument than Grammy Award winning rapper, dancer, and record producer Missy ‘Misdemeanor’ Elliott?”
Who better than Missy Elliott??? Anybody. What’s to admire about her? Her spiritually uplifting messages? Her celebration of being a criminal so much that she includes it in her stage name? Try listening to her lyrics, if you can call them that, then decide if this is something you want to be put out there as an example of what you want this country to emulate.
At the time of publication, the petition had reached 100 out of its 200 supporters needed to reach its goal. Coflin plans to present the petition to Mayor Rowe, Vice Mayor Paige Cherry and various other City Council members.

Coflin is hoping to get enough signatures on his petition before he presents it to the mayor of Portsmouth, John L. Rowe.”
Now I know the left has totally lost their minds! Though it was bad enough they wanted to put Obama on Mt Rushmore but a rapper?? Come on you guys are you really that desperate to prove how dumb you are….don’t bother….we already know!!!!
There are no such things as decency and common sense!! If all of these liberals spent as much time looking for a job as they do protesting, looting, destroying other people’s property…they might actually be a productive member of our country…yes our country not their country.
