The report revealed that the Obama Administration and Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, knew, in real time that the Benghazi attack was a terrorist attack. It also reveals that Clinton lied to the public after the attack telling Americans that it was an attack in response to a video on YouTube. She told her daughter and the President of Egypt among others that it was a terrorist attack. The report details information prior to, during, and after the attack.
Libya was supposed to be the crown jewel in the Obama Administration’s foreign policy prior to the attack. The ambassador had requested heightened security in the days leading up to the attack but nothing was done. During the attack, there was an unwillingness to respond by the Obama Administration in its reluctance to send reinforcements to help or even come up with a plan to extract Americans from Libya. After the attack there was a concerted effort by the Obama Administration to mislead and misinform the American people. Gowdy urges Americans to read the report for themselves and make up their own minds on Benghazi.
The House Benghazi Committee released its final report this Tuesday, and within it lay a series of crucial facts that proved without a shred of doubt that former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has been lying about the terror attacks and their aftermath since day one.
“Obama administration officials, including the Secretary of State, learned almost in real time that the attack in Benghazi was a terrorist attack,” a statement from The Select Committee on Benghazi member Rep. Jim Jordan included in the report read.
“Rather than tell the American people the truth, the administration told one story privately and a different story publicly,” the statement continued “What may appear at first blush to be a lack of competence on behalf of the State Department now appears fully intentional and coordinated,” the report read. “Delaying the production of documents sought by letter, informal request or subpoena has decided political advantages for those opposing the investigation.”
