Legendary SAS Sniper Stalks ISIS Leader For a Week… SMOKES Him With An EPIC Shot

A British Special Air Service sniper made his 100th kill during a battle for Mosul, and the kill also happened to be an Islamic State chief.

The unidentified sniper, a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, took out the chief (who was identified only as a “highly valued target”) of a group of extremists that has aggressively resisted U.S.-backed coalition attempts to recapture the city.

The sniper troops reportedly waited for a week before launching the assault, during which the chief attempted to escape.

The snipers were believed to be probing the outskirts of Mosul when the attack happened, the U.K. Daily Mail reported. According to reports, the chief was killed by a single bullet that passed through his body armor.

“The sniper had a two-second window to shoot the IS commander. He took the shot and the bullet almost cut the terrorist in half. He was dead before he hit the floor,” an unidentified source told the U.K. Daily Star.

That’s truly exceptional marksmanship, which is being no doubt being put to the best use.

When the sniper filed the paperwork for his report, he discovered that he had reached 100 kills, the Star reported.

“The sniper came to Iraq with around 60 kills, but in the last few weeks there has been a lot of killing and he lost count of the number of terrorists he had put in the ground,” a source told the Star.

The legendary 100th kill put the soldier at the top of the elite regiment’s list of sharpshooters, defense sources said.

This is the kind of force that keeps Islamic State group leaders up at night — and with good reason. These snipers have proven in the past months that they mean business.
